The m/v Mobilian was built at the Dravo Shipyard in 1981 for Warrior & Gulf Navigation
Company (W&GN). She represents W&GN's newest and largest class of towing vessels.
Currently on lease to Yellowhammer Transportation and operated by Sarai Transportation
she is working on a dedicated run between Brownsville, TX and Mobile, AL. She was
nominated as TOM by crew member Pete Strecker. Pete, along with Hal Smith, Capt. Terry
Odom and Joshua Odom are all very proud of this vessel and it shows. Pete did not have
very high resolution photographs of her but the crew has put a lot of hard work into chipping
and painting. The boat looks good and performs well. It is spacious and comfortable for a
crew of four and could easily accomodate several other crew men.
